ETHOS
Beauty delights the eye.
History feeds the soul.
By the time an antique fabric reaches Karina’s hands, it carries a myriad of stories in its threads. Nothing compares to the craftsmanship and poetic beauty of a textile that has travelled across cultures and eras.
Tamerlane’s Daughters’ mission is to reimagine these cultural artefacts for the 21st century: to inject them with vibrancy, to give them contemporary relevance.
The Japanese philosophy of kodawari – which translates roughly as the unwavering pursuit of perfection – is Karina’s favourite. It embodies her commitment to quality, from selecting the most extraordinary fabrics to working hand in hand with master craftswomen.
Unwittingly, Tamerlane’s Daughters has been a pioneer of the zero-waste movement since launching in 2004 – sustainability is a crucial part of our DNA.
